Geneva. The 76th session of the World Health Assembly is discussing the issues of global health protection and the development of primary health care. 24.kz reports.
The 76th World Health Assembly has invited delegates from 194 WHO Member States including the Minister of Health Azhar Giniyat who met with WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, colleagues from Sweden and Uzbekistan, the head of Women in Global Health, and the UNICEF Deputy Regional Director for Europe and Central Asia.
Giniyat noted the importance of multilateral partnerships in health care and the special role of the development of primary health care in the world.

The participants summarized the lessons learned from the fight against the pandemic and discussed the fight against infectious diseases, strengthening immunization and other areas of public health. This includes protecting the health of mothers and children, the prevention of such formidable diseases as tuberculosis, AIDS and many other global health problems and ways to solve them.
Hans Kluge, WHO Regional Director for Europe:
- The integration of social and psychological services in the field of first aid is what every country in the European region needs, as mental health, is a big problem, especially after the pandemic. Kazakhstan, in cooperation with WHO, opened the first WHO demonstration platform for first aid. Other countries in the region will visit it and learn new things.
The head of the Kazakh delegation also announced the holding of the WHO Global Conference on Primary Health Care and the 73rd session of the European Regional Committee of the Organization in October this year in Astana. On the sidelines of the conference, the parties signed agreements to organize the events.
