A recent announcement revealed that direct flights would soon be available from Afghanistan to China, beginning May 24, media reports. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesman, Abdul Qahar Balkhi, shared this news after a meeting between Taliban Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi and Chinese Ambassador to Afghanistan Wang Yu.

During this meeting, the Chinese Ambassador expressed his country's commitment to maintaining positive relations with Afghanistan and further strengthening them. Amir Khan Muttaqi emphasized the importance of the new opportunity for the two countries to improve their ties.

Additionally, the Taliban Foreign Ministry requested that Beijing consider simplifying the visa process for Afghan citizens.
