Ukrainian troops have already launched a counterattack, said Mykhailo Podolyak, adviser to the head of the office of the President of Ukraine, in an interview with the Italian RAI TV channel.
"The counterattack has been going on for several days," the TV channel quoted Podolyak, saying that the front extended to 1,500km, but "separate operations have already begun."
Podoliak reiterated that Kyiv will not use the weapons provided by the allies for strikes against Russia, but will only use them "in territories occupied by Russia, including Crimea and Donbas."
He previously said that the counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine should not be viewed as a major decisive battle.
"This is not a matter of a week or a month, but it covers many events. One is more successful, the other can have the opposite result," said Podoliak.
Oleg Soskin, a former adviser to former Ukrainian President Leonid Kuchma, suggested hanging Zelensky if the counterattack failed.
