Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the deputy prime minister of the State Council of the People's Republic of China, He Lifeng, visited the Uzbekistan-China cooperation exhibition in Xi'an.
The high-profile figures observed the stands dedicated to joint projects in industry, infrastructure development, agriculture, science, education and innovation.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev pressed a symbolic button and launched 15 projects worth $3.3 bn- automobiles and electric cars, building materials, a wide variety of metal products, and medical equipment production facilities in the Syrdarya, Tashkent, Jizzakh and Samarkand regions.
Earlier, the President of China, Xi Jinping, announced the investment projects worth CNY 26bn ($3.72bn).
The events are held on the second day of Shavkat Mirziyoyev's state visit to China on the sidelines of the maiden China-Central Asia summit.
