Under the leadership of Shavkat Mirziyoyev, a meeting of video selectors has commenced to address the issues of poverty reduction and employment for the population.
Significant progress has been made in the past three years, including the implementation of a dedicated poverty reduction system and the resolution of financial instruments and infrastructure-related matters. Earlier this year, districts were categorized into five groups, with each category receiving appropriate relief based on their specific conditions.
Family businesses receive an annual allocation of $1.1bn in loans and $131.2mn in subsidies. As a result, 1mn persons were lifted out of poverty last year and an additional 210,000 in 1Q23. Financial assistance through initiatives such as "Uchta Daftar" and the Social Protection Register has fully covered the needs of 2.3mn vulnerable families, women, elderly individuals, and citizens with disabilities.
