Archaeologists discovered graves and artifacts dating back two thousand years in the Boysun district of the Surkhandarya region, the regional government's press service reports.
The excavation was conducted by a team including Professor Liang Yung from the Great Silk Road Research Center of Northwestern University, along with students from the Samarkand Archaeological Institute and Fergana State University.
The findings included male and female bone remains, various ceramics, metal and stone jewelry, and iron knives belonging to the Yueji period, and were discovered in the "Rabot" archaeological monument area of Boysun. Currently, further research is being conducted on the artifacts.
