The latest news from Türkiye's presidential and parliamentary elections is that Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu's vote count has increased to nearly 45% after 99.9% of the ballots have been processed.
The incumbent President, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, secured 49.34% of the vote, while his primary opponent Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, received 44.99% of the vote.
The final results are expected to be announced on May 19 in the official newspaper. If none of the candidates receive 50% of the vote, the second round of voting will take place on May 28.
Earlier, the country's Central Election Commission announced a historical record of voter participation, reaching an impressive 93.6%
