President Mirziyoyev made a decision to hold the presidential election ahead of schedule. This was reported by the President's press service.
Based on Articles 110 and 128 of the Constitution and Article 66 of the Election Code of Uzbekistan:
The presidential election of Uzbekistan is scheduled for July 9, 2023;
The signed decree will be sent to the Central Election Commission.
Earlier, the state leader announced the four main reasons for the snap presidential elections in Uzbekistan.
