A six-year-old boy was attacked by a lion during a visit to a zoo in Palestine, Daily Mail reports.
The police confirmed the incident and reported that the child had approached the cage too closely and was bitten by the lion. The family of the child denied that he had violated any safety rules or attempted to climb over the fence.
The zoo has been closed and an investigation is ongoing. This incident is reportedly the first human death caused by animals in a zoo in the region, and it has sparked calls for zoos to be shut down.
