A recent virtual meeting between the Embassy of Uzbekistan to Ukraine and representatives from Astarte-Kyiv, a Ukrainian agrarian holding, saw Nabihon Samatov, the Deputy Chairman of the Uzbek Republican Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange, who gave a detailed presentation about the exchange's work.
According to Dunyo, Samatov highlighted the many benefits and bilateral opportunities of doing business with the exchange, especially in the agricultural trade sector. The Ukrainian representatives expressed interest in testing out the exchange platform, a positive step forward for our diplomatic relations.
Daryo previously reported that Ukraine became the top apple supplier to the Uzbek market in January this year. In particular, apple exports from Ukraine to the Central Asian country reached 360 tonnes, exceeding the export volume in the corresponding period of last year by 24%.
