Recent earthquake-stricken communities in Southeast Türkiye and Northwest Syria have received much-needed humanitarian aid from organizations such as the International Organization for Migration (IOM), Amazon, and the UPS Foundation, media reports on April 30.
The 17-truck partnership loaded with 500 pallets of clothes was shipped out after nine UPS flights from Cologne to Istanbul. The aid was then sorted and prepared for shipment to five provinces in Southeast Türkiye and several displacement camps in Northwest Syria.
The earthquake affected an estimated 20mn individuals in Türkiye; the situation was equally dire in Syria, where the United Nations reported that around 9mn people were impacted by the disaster.
