Some 159,276 Uzbekistan citizens living abroad participated in the early voting for the constitutional referendum. According to the country's Foreign Ministry, 159,276 citizens exercised their constitutional rights by casting early ballots from April 19-26. The embassies and consulates of the Central Asian country established over 1,000 early voting points in 40 foreign countries, including cities without diplomatic missions, to ensure the participation of its citizens.
Foreign missions arranged over 500 explanations, briefings, and meetings with compatriots, foreign mass media, and foreign officials to ensure a high level of participation in the political event. Currently, 55 referendum precincts have been established in 39 countries with Uzbekistan's diplomatic missions and consular institutions.
Currently, voting is underway in diplomatic missions in East and Asian countries, including Japan, the Republic of Korea, and India, as well as in the Russian cities of Vladivostok, Novosibirsk, Yekaterinburg, and neighboring countries. The referendum process will continue until May 1 at missions in the United States of America.

Comprising six sessions and 155 articles, the revised Constitution aims to establish a strong parliament, a compact and responsible government, and an independent and fair judicial system to build a people-friendly state.
