Uzbekistan and Sierra Leone have recently established diplomatic relations by inking a Joint Communiqué in New York, USA, on April 28, Dunyo reports. Sierra Leone is now the 143rd country to have diplomatic ties with Uzbekistan, marking a significant milestone for both nations.
The Permanent Representatives of both countries to the United Nations signed the document, which solidifies their commitment to strengthening cooperation and collaboration, particularly through international organizations like the United Nations.
Located on the Atlantic coast of West Africa, Sierra Leone is a member of several international organizations, including the British Commonwealth and the Non-Aligned Movement. This new partnership with Uzbekistan presents exciting opportunities for both nations to work together and identify areas where they can provide mutual assistance.
Uzbekistan also established diplomatic relations with Guyana on October 10, 2022.
