The Chairman of the Central Election Commission (CEC), Zayniddin Nizomkhojayev, has confirmed that the ongoing referendum on the revised Constitution in Uzbekistan is voluntary and accessible to all citizens. Furthermore, with 10,758 polling stations and 55 referendum-holding precincts established in foreign countries, CEC maintains open communication with all districts and precincts involved in the referendum.
There have been no reported violations of the legislation on the referendum to date. However, in the event of such breaches, citizens, observers, or mass media representatives have the right to apply to the court, prosecutor's office, or referendum commissions. The expression of citizens' will cannot be controlled, and every citizen has one vote.
The referendum is closely monitored by over 383 international and more than 43,000 local observers. Additionally, over 19.7mn voting citizens have been registered in the single electronic voters' list. The early referendum held from April 19 to April 26 saw the participation of 611,320 Uzbekistan citizens.

Comprising six sessions and 155 articles, the revised Constitution aims to establish a strong parliament, a compact and responsible government, and an independent and fair judicial system to build a people-friendly state.
