Construction of the first waste processing plant will begin in Kyrgyzstan in October. This was stated by the head of the company HDT Impex Yaroslav Vebra, Bishkek City Hall website reports.
The businessman said that the municipality of the capital has entered into a partnership agreement with the Czech association HDT Impex s.r.o. and ReGreen s.r.o.
A roadmap for this project was also approved.
The exact start date of construction is currently unknown, as the project does not yet have a feasibility study, but the facility should be built in two years. The start date for construction is October of the current year.
The head of the investment fund Fendi Capital, Kamila Danishova, noted: "The Czech consortium has extensive experience in the construction of such facilities, as well as in waste processing."
“The project is also aimed at educational and cultural activities. From kindergarten, kids will be taught garbage sorting and waste disposal,” she added.
Initially, a sorting plant and a bio-composting line will be built, and in the second stage, a special EcoTechnoPark will be created, which can take care of the garbage.
During the implementation of the project, a significant improvement in the environment in Bishkek and a solution to the problem of garbage are expected.
