President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has inked the decree 'On additional measures to improve the executive structure of the Cabinet of Ministers' to strengthen the influence of state language in social and state life, media reports. Besides, the document aims to expand its use and role in the development of modern science.
With this in mind, Uzbekistan's government establishes the Department of State Language Development under the Cabinet of Ministers. For this purpose, additional staff units will be introduced at the expense of reducing five staff units of the presidential administration of Uzbekistan.
Besides, Presidential decree No. 269, dated December 21, 2022, ‘On measures to implement administrative reforms of the New Uzbekistan’ is set to be amended.
