Ethnic Uzbeks residing in Türkiye and Turkish citizens wishing to learn the Uzbek language can now benefit from a new online course via Zoom, organized by the Turkish Cultural and Social Assistance Society in Istanbul, Dunyo reports. Twenty-five new students attended the first such lesson.
In his welcoming remark, Consul-General Amirsaid Agzamkhodzhaev drew attention to the role of language in the development of humankind.
In his turn, Chairman of the Turkestan Cultural and Social Assistance Society Akbar Yassa emphasized that 'language is not only a means of communication but also history, culture, and national memory.'
