President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Zhaparov, on March 28 received the newly appointed Ambassador of Pakistan, Hasan Ali Zaigham.

Reportedly, the head of state congratulated the fraternal nation on the holy month of Ramadan. Besides, President expressed his condolences to the families and relatives of the victims of the disastrous earthquake on March 21 in Pakistan.
The President noted that the Kyrgyz Republic attaches significant attention to trade and economic ties with Pakistan and expresses its interest in exporting agricultural products by Kyrgyz farmers in promoting investment and tourism cooperation.
The head of state proposed to strengthen scientific cooperation between higher educational institutions of Kyrgyzstan and Pakistan and launch a student exchange program.
For his part, Ambassador Hasan Ali Zaigham conveyed warm greetings from Pakistan's President Arif-ur-Rehman Alvi to Sadyr Zhaparov, congratulated him on the holy month of Ramadan, and expressed gratitude for his condolences. The newly appointed envoy noted that Pakistan is facing the impact of global climate change and natural disasters. Thus, the Pakistani side hopes for the support of Kyrgyzstan in activities aimed at preventing natural disasters.
According to Ambassador, trade and economic interaction and cooperation in tourism have great potential. He suggested continuing work on launching direct flights from Lahore and Islamabad to Bishkek, which will positively impact the tourist flow for both sides and create favorable conditions for business circles.
Regarding investment cooperation, Ambassador stressed that Pakistani companies are interested in establishing joint ventures in Kyrgyzstan, particularly in pharmaceuticals.
Sadyr Zhaparov invited the President of Pakistan to visit Kyrgyzstan whenever convenient.
President also instructed to accelerate the work on launching direct flights between the two countries.
