Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan in February became leaders in the growth of food prices, the Eurasian Economic Commission reports.
At the same time, the overall price rise since the end of January in Kazakhstan reached 20.7%, in Kyrgyzstan, the price increase amounted to 15.3%, and in Uzbekistan - 12.3%.
Prices in Belarus increased by 12%, and in Russia - by 11.8%. The slowest price growth was noted in Armenia - 8.1%.
Food products rose in price the most in the EAEU - 2.3% and paid services - 1.9%.
Since the end of January, food prices have increased by 3.9% in the Kyrgyz Republic, by 3.3% in Armenia, and by 3% in Kazakhstan.
The cost of non-food products in the EAEU increased slightly - by 0.4%. In Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan - by 1.7%. Paid services in Belarus rose by 3.4%.
In January 2023, inflation in Kyrgyzstan was the highest among the EAEU countries.
