The Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan posted online the recommendations for fasters on food consumption during the holy month of Ramadan based on the World Health Organization’s protocol.
In particular:
- it is recommended to stay in cool and shady places during high daytime temperatures and avoid walking in the sun for a long time;
- it is advisable to drink a lot of water between iftar and Suhoor because the high temperature during the day causes a lot of sweating consuming at least 10 glasses of water.
- it is also useful to eat fruits during dawn or after breaking the fast.
- Cucumbers and tomatoes in the "Achik-Chuchuk" salad are also considered to be a boon. You can also eat water-rich foods, such as soups or vegetable salads.
- It is better to abstain from drinking caffeine-containing beverages, such as coffee, tea, and cola. Because they may cause dehydration.
- It is important to take some short strolls and be sedentary,"
The month of Ramadan in Uzbekistan has begun on March 23 and Uzbek President signed the decision "On celebrating the holy month of Ramadan in a festive manner."
