The Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation Ibrahim Abdurahmonov visited the construction site of the biotechnological vaccine production in the Almazor district, Tashkent.
The piloting-industrial zone is being built in accordance with GLP/GMP and GPP requirements and will produce biotechnological products for pre-clinical and clinical research, and then produce them on an industrial scale.
The 2000 square meter area consists of two production blocks: biotechnological products (recombinant proteins, peptides, monoclonal proteins) and stems cell products used in biomedicine.
It is planned to produce five thousand doses of vaccine per year in the department of biotechnology products of this facility. Cell products used in the treatment of cancer are prepared in the biomedical cell products unit.
