Uzbek Ambassador to Kazakhstan Saidikram Niyazkhojaev held a meeting with the Kazakh Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development Marat Karabaev, media reports.
The two sides reflected on various cooperation projects, including the railway project from Darbaza to Maktaaral station with a length of 106 km that will allow the unloading of the Saryagash checkpoint. Reportedly, the new Darbaza - Maktaaral railway line would attract additional cargo traffic of up to 10mn tons per year and connect the Maktaral district of the Turkestan region with the main railway line.
In addition, the parties agreed to help increase flights between the two countries.
