Kyrgyz republic has lifted the ban on the import of farm animals and products of animal origin from neighboring Uzbekistan, according to the country's Ministry of Agriculture, media reports. The ban was imposed on September 14, 2022.
Reportedly, the ban on poultry imports from the United States of America, imposed on September 2 last year, was lifted as well.
The bans on importing farm animals prone to foot-and-mouth disease from neighboring Kazakhstan and Russia's Orenburg region, Buryatia, Bashkortostan, and sheep and goats from Mongolia and Afghanistan remain in effect.
