The government of Uzbekistan intends to allocate $300mn to support family-run businesses following the presidential decree on additional measures to support programs for the development of family entrepreneurship. Besides, the loan amount for the expansion of entrepreneurs will be increased from the current 225mn UZS to 300mn UZS in 2023.
The number of unsecured loans to farmers will rise to 50mn UZS. Entrepreneurs, who earlier received loans under family business programs and showed satisfactory results, will be able to receive concessional loans under these programs again (only once).
Uzbek nationals who have received new loans will be able to receive the self-employed person benefit.
