After last year's political reshuffle when in December the Surhkandarya region saw a new khokim being replaced by the former Chief Prosecutor of Tashkent, Ulugbak Kasimov, the region has continued to meet new district governors.
On January 25, the new khokims were appointed to Angor, Termiz, Muzrabot, Zharkurgon, Shorchi, and Sariosia districts of the Surkhandarya region. On the same day, new governors were also approved for Uzun, Denov, Oltinsoy, Boysun, Bandikhon, Sherabad, Kyziriq districts.
Khabibulla Bozorov was confirmed for the position of Uzun district governor.
Ilhom Abrorov was confirmed for the position of Denov district governor.
Bahrom Mahmatrayemov was confirmed for the position of the mayor of Altinsoy district.
Bakhodir Shukurov was confirmed for the position of Boisun district governor.
Abdumalik Allamurodov was confirmed as the governor of Bandikhon district.
Zaynabdin Khalilov was confirmed as the governor of Sherabad district.
Sherzod Rajabov was confirmed for the position of the mayor of Kyziriq district.
