In spite of the ongoing conflict in the region, the flour producers of the Krasnodar region exported 56 thousand tons of products worth 22.4 million dollars in 2022 alone. "TASS" reports.
"According to the report, the Krasnodar region of Russia managed to double the export volume of corn products. Uzbekistan is one the main buyers along with Afghanistan, Georgia, Israel, the UAE, Turkmenistan, and Turkey," the official website of the Krasnodar region administration cites.
According to Russia’s main agricultural provider, the region traded agricultural products worth more than 3.3 billion dollars to 91 countries of the world.
"China, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Libya, Belarus, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, and Lebanon have significantly ramped up the purchase," the administration of the Krasnodar region noted.
Krasnodar Territory, as one of the main agricultural regions of Russia, harvested 15.1 million tons of grain and legumes, setting a historical maximum.
The wheat harvest jumped to 10.7 million tons, and for the first time in history, 1.3 million tons of sunflower were produced.
