On January 16, within the framework of the visit of the delegation of Uzbekistan to Singapore, the Minister of Investments, Industry and Trade Laziz Kudratov held talks with the Minister of Trade and Industry of this country Gan Kim Yong, the press service of the Ministry reports.
"The events taking place these days are a strong impetus to deepen the partnership between our countries in all fields and open a completely new page in the history of Uzbekistan-Singapore relations," Gan Kim Yong during the dialogue noted.
The recent fundamental changes in Uzbekistan have made it possible for Singaporean companies to freely enter the market of Uzbekistan and carry out active business activities.
A business forum held in Singapore attracted 200 representatives of the leading business circles of the two countries to take part resulting in inking 23 bilateral agreements.
"We want as many businesses as possible to know about Uzbekistan and its great potential. For this purpose, we are ready to provide continuous assistance in attracting new investors to your country. Also, we can be a bridge for Uzbek goods to enter the markets of Southeast Asia and the entire Asia-Pacific region," the Minister of Trade and Industry of Singapore said.
In addition, it was agreed to adopt a number of agreements defining the establishment of the Uzbekistan-Singapore Chamber of Commerce and Industry and attracting Singapore's experience to Uzbekistan in the development of business incubators.
