Uzbekistan’s President Shavkat Mirziyoyev participated in the meeting that discussed the current issues related to the energy resources supply during the winter season.
‘I am deeply worried and saddened by the mood and emotions of every family and every person suffering from the cold’, President Shavkat Mirzyoyoyev said.
According to some media sources, over 250 objects were erected in the country’s capital Tashkent without permission. The city’s Mayor Jakhongir Artykkhodjayev was dismissed from his post.
The mayors of Yunusabad, Mirzo Ulugbek, and Ukhtepa districts were also relieved of their duties and demoted to the position of acting mayor. The State Prosecutor's Office and the General Prosecutor's Office were instructed to study their activities.
Farhod Abdurakhmanov, chairman of Issiqlik elektr stansiyasi, was relieved of his duties.
First Deputy Mayor of Tashkent Bakhtiyor Rakhmanov was appointed acting Mayor of Tashkent, and Deputy Prosecutor General E. Yuldashev was appointed City Prosecutor.
