Heating and water supply interruptions due to the abnormal cold caused inconvenience for many residents of Uzbekistan's capital Tashkent. With this in mind, all costs associated with heating and water supply in the country's major city will be recalculated, the press service of Veolia Energy Tashkent has reported.
As noted, problems with heating and hot water supply are caused by the abnormal cold in some areas of the capital and are related to the reduction of gas pressure.
It is noted that Veolia Energy Tashkent specialists work around the clock with suppliers of energy resources to overcome crises and provide heat supply to the city’s houses and socially significant infrastructure.
The companies asked the residents of the capital to be sympathetic and assured that all necessary measures are being taken to improve the situation.
At the beginning of the week, an anomalous frost struck the territory of Uzbekistan, caused by the influence of a very cold air mass formed over the northern regions of the European part of Russia.
According to weather forecasters, the cold will begin to recede early in the coming week.
