Acting Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov on Wednesday (January 11) received Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs Yoshikawa Yuumi.
The meeting reflected on the status of the implementation of bilateral treaties and the upcoming activities and emphasized the importance of intensifying inter-parliamentary ties. Besides, it outlined the significant contribution of the Japan Parliamentary Friendship League with Uzbekistan to strengthening the strategic partnership between the countries.
The two sides expressed interest in strengthening cooperation within the "Central Asia plus Japan" Dialogue to promote joint projects in the transport sector, logistics, renewable energy, efficient water use, and ecology.
The two countries are committed to providing mutual support within the framework of international institutions as there is a significant potential for cooperation in various sectors.
