The first 14 projects for the construction of small hydroelectric power stations in Uzbekistan have been put up for online auction that should choose the least electricity purchase tariff offer, the Center for Organization of Electronic Online Auctions provides information.
The plot of land for the construction of micro and small hydroelectric power plants is leased for a period of 20 years.
The winner of the online auction will have 60 calendar days to sign the lease agreement and has to launch the project within 2 years.
At the moment, 14 projects from Kashkadarya, Surkhandarya, Tashkent and Fergana regions have been selected for the construction of HPPs.
