The national holding company Uzbekneftegaz has set up an emergency operations centre (EOC) to ensure continuous and stable work of compressor stations and devices during the current extreme cold weather.
And yet, the adverse cold temperature is affecting the devices in the technological facilities. Due to the freezing of ball valves and pipelines and interruptions in the electrical system, emergency stops are being observed in the gas-driving units of the compression compressor stations of the plants and offices of the gas and oil supplier.
In particular, 3 gas driving units at the "Shimali Nishon" compression compressor station of the Shu'rtan oil and gas production department, units at the 2 compression compressor stations at the "Zevarda" and "Dengizkol" fields of the Mubarak oil and gas production department were shut down in emergency condition.
“As a result of the rapid response, taken quickly, the gas was directed to the "Shortan" station 2 from the fields being transferred to the "Shimali Nishon" compression compressor station.
Currently, units 200 of the 2nd compression compressor station "Zevarda" and units 300 and 400 of the "Shimali Nishon" station have been put into operation. Commissioning of gas drive unit No. 200 at the compression compressor station "Dengizkol" is underway. The stability of gas production is ensured.
