On January 11, two buses with 69 Uzbek citizens on board got stuck on the Samara-Chymkent highway in Kazakhstan due to adverse weather. According to Kazakh officials, 72 passengers were taken to the school.
"There were 3 citizens of Kazakhstan and 38 Uzbek nationals on the bus. As the road was blocked due to bad weather, all passengers were placed in the school premises of Irgiz," the ministry said.
On the same day, in Aytekebiy district, at the 968th kilometre of the Samara-Shymkent highway, another passenger bus with 31 Uzbek citizens called for help.
Due to bad weather and road closure, all passengers were accommodated in the mosque of Karabutak village.
The Ministry of Emergencies of Kazakhstan strongly advises citizens to monitor weather changes and not to go out if the weather worsens and restrictions on the movement of motor vehicles are introduced on the roads.
