The Turkish police arrested two suspects who were allegedly members of the ISIS terrorist group plotting to carry out a terrorist attack in Istanbul on New Year's Eve. This was reported by the Russian "RIA Novosti" with reference to Sabah newsroom.
Presumably, the detainees are originally from Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.
"They tried to escape from the police who were following them in Istanbul's Basaksehir district a few hours before the New Year on December 31. However, the police managed to shoot at them from between the wheels of the car," the report said.
The Uzbek suspect is an expert on explosives, and the deportation process has started against him. They received instructions from the ISIS terrorist group in Afghanistan and planned to carry out a "bloody" terrorist attack using explosives.
ISIS extremist group has been declared a "terrorist organization" by a number of countries and international organizations
