Chief Doctor of Children’s Multidisciplinary Medical Center of the Samarkand region, Professor Mamatkul Azizov was dismissed from office, local media reports referring to Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Health. Earlier he reported the child casualties allegedly as a result of the consumption of DOK-1MAX by India's Marion Biotech. When asked about the reasons for his dismissal, the Health Ministry said that a briefing on Thursday would provide a disclosure, the media informs.
Earlier social networks shared the copy of a letter from Professor Mamatkul Azizov to the region's health authority Davronbek Jumaniyozov. In a letter dated December 15, Professor stated that in recent months, respiratory viral infections occured quite often in the region, especially among children. He stressed that doctors frequently prescribe the DOK-1MAX drug which allegedly caused complications and casualties among children. The pharmaceutical is sometimes used by their parents, he stressed. The active ingredients of the drug are paracetamol, guaifenesin and phenylephrine hydrochloride, the professor highlighted.
