A resident of the Kibray district of the Tashkent region addressed the internal affairs authorities reporting the blackmail from a telegram pen pal who introduced himself as Giyos. In particular, the 27-year-old man demanded UZS 5mn for not sharing the photos and videos she had transferred to him previously.
On this basis, the internal affairs officers conducted a particular operational measure. During the event, a resident of Karakalpakstan, born in 1995, was detained at the time of receipt of a part of the money amounting to $200. He also had photos and videos of ten other girls he was blackmailing. It turned out that the man is engaged in this type of illegal earnings permanently. Therefore, criminal proceedings were instituted under the article 'Extortion' of the Criminal Code.
