Uzbekistan’s Foreign Minister Vladimir Norov on December 27 received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Qatar Hassan Hamza Hashem.
Accepting the copies of credentials, the Minister congratulated the top diplomat on his new role wishing him success in his diplomatic journey to Uzbekistan.
The two sides discussed the current state and prospects of the development of Uzbek-Qatari relations in the political, trade, economic, cultural, and humanitarian spheres. Having emphasized the intensification of bilateral political dialogue, they expressed support for a substantial increase in cooperation in the trade, economic, and investment spheres.
Special attention was paid to the development of cooperation in the cultural, humanitarian, and tourist fields. It was agreed to continue cooperation within the framework of international organizations. The meeting also reflected on international regional and issues.
