Minister of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction Jamshid Kochkarov admitted that there were mistakes and shortcomings in the process related to the khokims’ assistants in Uzbekistan. He informed the media representatives about this at a press conference dedicated to the activities and future tasks of assistant governors.
Jamshid Kochkarov, who admitted the mistakes and shortcomings in evaluating the performance of assistant governors, that the potential of the regions had to be taken into account when evaluating their performance which will be done in 2023.
“The other blinder is that we sent them to vocational training when evaluating the work of assistant governors. It would be fair to remove the evaluation performance of khokims’ assistants. We have a lot of shortcomings. But I repeat once again, we are not ashamed of our shortcomings, we accept criticism,” Jamshid Kochkarov noted.
Jamshid Kochkarov added that 998 out of 9,300 assistant governors working in the republic were fired and replaced in 2022.
