Deputy Minister of Finance Odilbek Isokov said that as a result of the state administration bodies reduction, Uzbekistan may earn up to 2.8 trillion soums
According to the Deputy Minister, the funds of the state treasury will be saved as follows:
- 2.4 trillion soums due to the reduction of the state unit of ministries and agencies by up to 30%;
- 300 billion soums from the sale of more than 300 buildings that will become vacant due to the optimization of organizations and offices;
- 16 billion soums due to the auction sale of approximately 55 cars by reducing management positions;
- about 17 billion soums by reducing business trips to regions, using modern technology such as online acceptance of local issues or virtual visits;
- 22 billion soums due to the optimization of costs related to the maintenance of the state administration apparatus;
- 18 billion soums due to the optimization of expenses for holding official events.
The number of ministries will be reduced from 25 to 21, in the decree "On measures to implement administrative reforms of new Uzbekistan". In the first stage of administrative reforms, measures will be taken to reform the republic's executive authorities by January 1, 2023, and in the second stage, local state authorities by April 1, 2023.
