The Institute of Forecasting and Macroeconomic Research of Uzbekistan provided the information based on the methodology of The Global Liveability Ranking published annually by The Economist Intelligence Unit. It ranks the cities based on a composite index that includes 37 indicators related to areas such as social stability, health care, education, culture, environment and infrastructural facilities.
According to the 2020-2021 results, the city of Tashkent (rating index 65), Bukhara (57), Navoi (49), and Fergana (48) regions were found to be the most comfortable regions for living in Uzbekistan in 2021.

- Healthcare: Tashkent (75)
- Culture and environment: Tashkent (70)
- Education: Karakalpakstan (63)
- Infrastructure: Tashkent (85)
Fergana region rose from 7th to 4th place, Tashkent region from 12th to 9th place, Karakalpakstan from 9th to 12th place, Samarkand region From 4th place to 5th place, Jizzakh region from 5th place to 6th place and Andijan region from 5th place to 6th place.
During 2020-2021, the stability indicator in Uzbekistan increased by +1 point, the healthcare direction indicator increased by +1.4 points, the education indicator increased by +3.1 points, the infrastructure indicator + increased by 0.5 points, while the culture and environment indicator decreased by -0.2 points.
The ease of living index of the regions of Uzbekistan helps to compare the level of complex development, living and working opportunities, and tourism in the regions.
