Throughout January-September 2022, gross domestic product per capita in Uzbekistan amounted to 17,652.4 thousand UZS and increased by 3.6% compared to the corresponding period of last year, the country's State Statistics Committee has reported.
High volumes of the gross regional product (GRP) per capita were noted in the Navoi region (47,724.5 thousand UZS), Tashkent city (37,510.6 thousand UZS) and the Tashkent region (22,770.8 thousand UZS). The smallest volumes of GRP per capita were observed in the Surkhandarya (9,151.3 thousand UZS), Namangan (9,828.7 thousand UZS), and Fergana (10,105.2 thousand UZS) regions.
In the current period, high growth rates of GRP per capita were recorded in the Andijan (107.0%), Namangan (104.9%) regions, and Tashkent city (104.6%). At the same time, in the Republic of Karakalpakstan (102.2%), the Jizzakh (102.3%), and Kashkadarya regions (102.3%), the growth rate of GRP per capita was below the Republican level (103.6%).
