‘Over the past two years, about 5,000 officials have been prosecuted for corruption offenses. However, it must be said directly that this is not a struggle with the cause, but with its consequences', President Shavkat Mirziyoyev said on Tuesday (December 20) in his address to the parliament and the people of Uzbekistan.
The head of state called the authorities to be active in eliminating corruption. Besides, the leader noted that all loopholes allowing artificial monopoly, hidden schemes, and corruption, in general, would be eliminated.
