President Shavkat Mirziyoyev said in a message to the Parliament and the people of Uzbekistan that Uzbekistan intends to adopt a 10-year program of exploration to increase gas reserves. The Central Asian country intends to start extracting gas from layers deeper than 6 km.
In particular, large foreign investors will be attracted to the Ustyurt Plateau for the exploration of high-potential deep layers, taking into account the national interests of Uzbekistan, which will be enshrined in the law.
‘All licenses for gas production will be revised, measures will be taken for inefficient enterprises’, the President stressed.
