Shavkat Mirziyoyev will deliver a speech at the Central Asia-EU summit and receive the President of the Council of Europe in Tashkent.
According to the press service of the President, Mirziyoyev will be in Astana on October 27 to participate in the first meeting of the heads of state in the "Central Asia-European Union" format.
The President of the European Council, Charles Michel and the leaders of the countries of the region will participate in the event. In accordance with the agenda of the summit, prospects for the development of political dialogue, expansion of interregional cooperation, trade-economic partnership and activation of cultural-humanitarian exchanges will be discussed.
High-level talks will be held between Uzbekistan and the EU on October 28. The parties are expected to discuss a wide range of issues related to bilateral and multilateral cooperation of the country with the European Union. Charles Michel will also visit the city of Samarkand during his visit to Uzbekistan.
