On July 20, 2022, the Acting Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Vladimir Norov took part in the meeting of foreign ministers of Central Asian countries in Cholponota (Kyrgyzstan).
The participants discussed the organizational aspects of preparation for the upcoming Consultative meeting of the leaders of the Central Asian countries.
In particular, the agenda and program of the Summit, and drafts of the final documents to be submitted for review by the heads of state were reviewed and approved.
Uzbek Foreign Minister noted that fundamentally new atmosphere of friendship, cooperation and mutual trust between Central Asian leaders. The countries of the region have a common position on many international issues and find mutually acceptable solutions to even the most complex issues.
Norov stressed the importance of conducting a close trade-economic and investment policy, establishing direct relations between business entities and regions, developing the transport and transit potential of the region, and effective joint management of natural resources.
As noted, the successful implementation of joint measures in these areas will have a comprehensive effect on the sustainable development of the entire Central Asian region.
