Kyrgyzstan has secured investments for its key economic sectors during the Spring Meetings of the World Bank (WB) and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Washington. The country's participation in the meetings, led by Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Adylbek Kasymaliev, resulted in the signing of several agreements aimed at enhancing the nation's economic growth and sustainable development.

The total investment raised, amounting to $389.31mn, will be channeled into projects that focus on regional development, healthcare modernization, clean water access, support for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), education improvements, and the upgrade of energy infrastructure. Notable projects include water supply and sanitation systems, the development of financial markets for SMEs, and the construction of power lines and substations.
Key sectors outlined in the signed agreements include regional development, healthcare, water supply, support for SMEs, emergency preparedness, education, energy, and agriculture.
The "Regional Economic Development in the Osh Region and the City of Osh" project will receive additional funding to support local initiatives and enhance the competitiveness of the region. Meanwhile, the "Primary Health Care Quality Improvement Programme" will continue, aiming to strengthen critical components of Kyrgyzstan’s healthcare system.

The "Universal Access to Water Supply and Sanitation Phase 1" program will bring clean drinking water and improved sanitation to 126 settlements in the Issyk-Kul, Osh, and Chui regions.
Additionally, the "Development of Sustainable Financial Markets for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises in the Kyrgyz Republic" project, with a budget of $120mn, will create favorable conditions for "green" financing and provide preferential loans and guarantees for entrepreneurs.
A new rapid response mechanism agreement will enable Kyrgyzstan to quickly mobilize resources in the event of emergency situations. The "Improving Access to and Quality of Inclusive Education Opportunities for All Children in the Kyrgyz Republic" project, with a budget of $25mn, will work toward equitable access to quality education for all children.

The "Construction of the 220 kV Tamga-Karakol Power Transmission Line and Substations in the Issyk-Kul Region" project, valued at $58.25mn, will enhance the energy supply in the region. Finally, the "Agricultural Mechanization" project, with a budget of $45.11mn, will help improve the productivity and efficiency of farmers through better mechanization.
“Kyrgyzstan is confidently moving along the path of sustainable development, and the signed agreements are a clear confirmation of our commitment to the implementation of large-scale reforms. Investments attracted at the Spring Meetings of the World Bank and the IMF will become a reliable foundation for achieving our goals," Adylbek Kasymaliev, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, expressed confidence in Kyrgyzstan's development path.
