The leaders of the governments of Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan will hold a trilateral meeting, announced the government of Kyrgyzstan through the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers.
On January 8, the head of the Kyrgyzstan President’s Administration, Odilbek Qosimaliyev, will meet with Uzbekistan’s Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov and Tajikistan’s Prime Minister Kohir Rasulzoda. The trilateral meeting will take place at the intersection of the state borders of Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan.
As announced by the government of Kyrgyzstan, “The head of the Cabinet of Ministers, Head of the President’s Administration of the Kyrgyz Republic, Odilbek Qosimaliyev, will meet on January 8 of this year with Uzbekistan’s Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov and Tajikistan’s Prime Minister Kohir Rasulzoda. The trilateral meeting will take place at the intersection of the state borders of Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan. During the meeting, negotiations will be held regarding the previously reached agreements between the Presidents of Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan on state border issues.”
The meeting will focus on discussions regarding previously reached agreements on state border issues between the parties. Kyrgyzstan shares borders with China, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan. All disputed border issues with China and Kazakhstan were resolved several years ago. However, relevant agreements with Uzbekistan and Tajikistan were only signed in 2023 and 2024.
Earlier, Kyrgyzstan’s President Sadir Japarov stated, “Our country has resolved all territorial disputes with Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.”
