The National Agency for Prospective Projects has announced the suspension of the license for Toshkent Investitsiya Majmui (Tashinvestcom), a key player in the securities market. The decision was made by the regulator's management on December 2 and is set to last until the company addresses the identified violations. Initially, the suspension is effective for a period of 10 days.
As part of the suspension, Toshkent Investitsiya Majmui’s access to the Unified Software and Hardware Complex of the Stock Market has been halted, limiting its ability to function as an investment intermediary. This means the company can no longer engage in activities related to the securities market during the suspension period.
Toshkent Investitsiya Majmui, which was registered as a broker by the Republican Currency Exchange in February 2024, had been authorized to participate in exchange trading, conduct transactions in the government securities market, and engage in repo transactions. The suspension of its license marks a significant step in the regulatory oversight of investment firms in the region.
The National Agency for Prospective Projects has not yet specified the exact nature of the legal violations that led to the suspension. However, the company has been given a period to rectify the issues before its license can be reinstated.
