Yandex Uzbekistan is set to acquire a portion of the assets from the local delivery service Express24. Daryo reached out to Yandex Uzbekistan who confirmed that the acquisition aims to establish a unified technological platform for food delivery services in Uzbekistan, merging the capabilities of Yandex Go and Express24.
Details surrounding the deal remain undisclosed, including the financial specifics. However, Yandex has confirmed that the Express24 app will continue to operate during the transition period. Once the acquisition is finalized, the Eats services from both Yandex Go and Express24 will be integrated into a single platform.
The merger is expected to enhance order density and increase delivery volumes for couriers. Additionally, partner restaurants associated with Express24 will benefit from an expanded delivery area and access to promotional tools offered by the new platform.
Express24 is a popular delivery service in Uzbekistan, offering food, groceries, and various goods from over 700 restaurants and 100 stores. Users can order via the app or website, with 24/7 customer support available.
