President Sadyr Japarov of Kyrgyzstan welcomed Kiyoto Tsuji on June 3, the State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, in a diplomatic meeting aimed at bolstering bilateral ties between the two nations. The press service of the Kyrgyz head of state announced the gathering, highlighting its focus on enhancing political dialogue, inter-parliamentary relations, and fostering growth across various sectors including trade, economy, culture, and humanitarian endeavors.
Recalling his previous visit to Japan, President Japarov expressed gratitude for the warm reception he received and highlighted the fruitful outcomes of his meetings with Emperor Naruhito and Prime Minister Fumio Kishida. He emphasized that these discussions laid a robust foundation for further strengthening the partnership between Kyrgyzstan and Japan.
The talks also centered on the upcoming inaugural summit of heads of state "Central Asia + Japan," which President Japarov hailed as a historic milestone in advancing regional cooperation and exploring new avenues for practical collaboration.
President Japarov reiterated the significance of the longstanding cooperation with Japan across various spheres of bilateral engagement, emphasizing the shared commitment to achieving common goals and objectives. He affirmed that both nations have ample opportunities to work together towards mutual prosperity and development.
In response, State Minister Kiyoto Tsuji expressed gratitude for the warm reception and echoed President Japarov's sentiments regarding the pivotal role of the "Central Asia + Japan" dialogue in fostering multilateral cooperation within the region. He reaffirmed Japan's commitment to supporting the success of the upcoming summit and proposed new cooperation initiatives aimed at promoting sustainable development and addressing global challenges.
Furthermore, State Minister Tsuji highlighted Japan's willingness to explore joint projects with Kyrgyzstan in areas such as tourism, human resources development, and support for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
